Obstacle descriptions

Please note the obstacle list is preliminary and might change without notice.

1. Fire hose swing over

Climb up the fire hose and get over the top. The swing over technique is demonstrated on our instagram

2. Net crawl

Crawl under the net (who could have guessed it?).

3 Swing over X

Get up and over it. Seems simple enough, but is it?

4 Pole swing over (not for 6 km runners)

Get up the vertical pole, then over the horisontal pole, then down again. Enjoy! A video demonstration of this obstacle can be found on our instagram

5 Ladder swing over

Simply climb up the ladder and get over.

6 Tyre swing over (not for 6 km runners)

Climb up and over the horizontal rope. The tyre makes it trickier to get a good foot lock.

7 Rope swing over

Climb up the rope and get over the horisontal rope. The foot lock and swing over technique is demonstrated on our instagram

8 UFO swing over (not for 6 km runners)

A higher swing over with a UFO on the rope to pass on your way up and down.

9 Combi rig

A classic combination rig with different sections to pass.

10 The Crossing (passing over ”The Plumber”)

A crossing obstacle. Get over them tunnels.

11 Net crawl

A neat little net crawl again.

12 Bike tyre net climb

Climb on a creative net made out of recycled bike tyres.

13 Monkey climb

The classic original survival obstacle – a rope traverse called the monkey climb.

14 Balance act and monkey climb

An obstacle that can slow you down depending on how used you are to slack-lining. Go directly from the balance rope to the monkey climb. If you touch the ground you’ll have to try again. This obstacle is demonstrated on our instagram

15 Hurdles

Get up and over it, a simple yet classic obstacle.

16 Monkey climb to horisontal net climb

Another classic with the combination of a net. 10 km runners climbs under, 6 km runners climbs over.

17 Arm walk

You better have some grip strength left over for this one as you are not allowed to use your legs on this one in particular – arms only. This obstacle is demonstrated on our instagram

(Only for 10 km runners).

18 Forest combo

A very long monkey climb that gets increasingly difficult as the ropes turns into larger loops. You also have to pass up and over the log where the ropes are connected as well. (Only for 10 km runners).

19 Log carry

One of our most high-tech obstacles. (Only for 10 km runners).

20 Roof net climb

A classic survival obstacle. You start from underneath the middle of the roof net then make a full lap around it, back to where you started. (Only for 10 km runners).

21 Horisontal rope swing over

Get up and over this one without the aid of a vertical rope. Better work those core muscles. (Only for 10 km runners).

22 Bahia (rope to rope)

Another survival running classic. Get from the first to the last rope without touching the ground (or the horisontal rope on top). Use a proper foot lock and you will save that precious grip strength. (Only for 10 km runners).

23 Monkey climb – log – monkey climb

Climb up to the rope, go down to the log, then up to the rope again. Easy-peasy-peanuts. (Only for 10 km runners).

24 Thin rope swing over

A twist on the classic swing over, this is a thinner rope so you’ll have to nail a solid foot lock to get up and over this one. (Only for 10 km runners).

25 Self-made swing over

Throw a rope over a log and use it to get up and over. (Only for 10 km runners).

26 Allis obstacle

A bouldering style obstacle sponsored with grips from Allis. This will test your grip strength. (Only for 10 km runners).

27 Jump to rope + swing over

Do it just like Tarzan – jump to the rope and get up and over it. (OK just like if Tarzan was dutch).

28 Short rope swing over

To get up and over this one you will have to work those core muscles and arms to nail a nice foot lock.

29 To be decided

(All we know that this will only be for 10 km runners).

30 Tyre pull

It’s dangerous to go alone, take this…piece of rope-connected tyres. And bring them with you. Enjoy.

31 Vertical net

Get up and over it. An obstacle that is not too difficult, yet difficult to perform smoothly.

32 Komeini-brug

A dutch classic. Another obstacle that is not too difficult but it is hard to perform smoothly and quickly. Technique and balance will help you succeed faster.

33 Monkey bar

A classic monkey bar, but on a ladder. You better have some grip strength left over for this one as you are not allowed to use your legs – arms only.

34 Chain carry

Feel like a cool gangster rapper and carry some heavy bling-bling.

35 Monkey climb with tyre

A normal monkey climb but with an obstacle on the rope. Go through, or on the outside or why not over the tyre? You choose, as long as you don’t touch the ground.

36 ”Rörigt värre” (The plumber)

Crouch, crawl and get through. Think of it like a horisontal Super Mario obstacle – enjoy.

37 Tyre flip

Flip a tyre, how heavy you ask? Just flip it we say.

38 The final combi rig

The final combi rig will be a final test of your grit and technique. Will you get to keep your wrist band or not when passing that finish line? You decide.
